When I see your arrows going back and forth, I can’t help but think of my “unwillingness to give back.”
It’s a poisonous thought I’ve always held onto, and it was no one’s fault and didn’t hurt anyone outside of me, but I’m glad I see the absurdity in it now.
Essentially, I would reason, “Joe, [this] is funny, and worth sharing. BUT! You don’t want people feeling “forced upon, unsolicited spam, no consent – MINDRAPE”. Rather than,
“This is dope, I want to share, take it or leave it!”
fine with, “Fuck you joe. I didn’t ask for this.”
